It is indisputable and quite understandable that this summer, everything is about soccer. With the 2010 FIFA World Cup finally taking place again after four long years, brands and labels everywhere including Nike has geared up for this culminating, much-awaited epic sports fanfare. But, what to do after 2010 FIFA World Cup is over and another champion is declared? Nike Sportswear has the answer, and it is the return to the good old basic– running. For Fall/Holiday 2010, Nike Sportswear focuses on the perennial cardio vascular exercise that can be done alone, in a group, indoors or out, with music or without. As such, the Fall/Holiday 2010 collection revisits the Nike archives for inspiration, especially in revising the spirits of the Bill Bowerman Athletics West program of the late 70's. However, don't dismiss this as just another archival reissue or revival– Nike is all about innovation and has reinvented the classics to suit the contemporary runners who no longer treat running as a single-focused, get-fit routine, and instead, sees running as another creative outlet. Some key silhouettes included the N98 track jacket, the AW77 and the Coaches Jacket.
