Double-Barreled Pistol Bring Twice The Pain In Half The TimeSource: NerdwithSwag™Author: NerdwithSwag
Arsenal Firearms is now selling as they tout, "the very first industrial double barrel semiautomatic pistol of all time" — the AF2011-A1 "Second Century". The equivalent of two firearms strapped together, the dual payload is the exemplification of synergy:
"2 bullets for a total of 460 Grains weight impacting at 1 to 2 inches apart (depending on the distance of the target) will knock down a bull, while the whole 18 bullets, for a payload exceeding 4000 Grains, can be delivered to the target in about 3 seconds…"Watch the company's promo video for the AF2011 below the break.

Three New iPhone Photo AppsSource: Cool HuntingAuthor: James Thorne
Three new applications aim to enhance mobile photography
A slew of photo applications for iPhone have rolled out recently, bringing a bit of competition to the Instagram-dominated scene. From professional features to creative image destruction, the following apps continue to expand the capabilities of smart phone photography.
Camera Awesome![]()
Focusing on camera and video, this app brings some professional-level options to your touch screen interface. The slickest feature has to be the adjustable focus and exposure selection, which allows you to set each independently as you compose the shot. While shooting video, Camera Awesome will record the five seconds prior to pressing the record button, a clutch feature for capturing fleeting moments.
Pictures can be taken rapid fire, and the app has hundreds of filters and effects ready for application through the "Awesomize" button. Finished images are then shared across multiple social media channels. Not that it affects the app's performance, but quirky loading phrases like "alchemizing dragon scales" and "grilling unicorn tears" sure make for an entertaining wait time.
Decim8![]()
The anti-nostalgia attitude of Decim8 turns your photographs into pixelated works of glitch art. This is the third version of Decim8, and the UI has received a complete overhaul, giving you much more control over the final product through customizable presets. Effects can be applied one by one or as a batch effect. Menus and options are accessed through multi-directional gestures, and the focus is found by simply tapping the screen. Since corruption is really the point of Decim8, data is irrecoverable and pixel reconfiguration often renders your images beautifully mangled. Users share photos through social media or Postagrampostcards.
Instamatch
Rather than compete with the popular photo app, Instamatch from Tiny Hearts pulls Instagram photos to create a fun memory game. The app recognizes similar objects and arranges them into themes, also allowing you to create your own categories. For example, a food-themed game would present a series of similar dishes that users will have to flip and match. Scores are determined by the number of tiles and the amount of time it takes to complete them. Multiplayer mode supports two people on the iPhone and four on the iPad.

Recently captured street art in Hong Kong
by Joanna Prisco
The art scene in Hong Kong is an exercise in contradictions. While the city plays host to one of the most well respected and largest international art fairs in the world, very few Hong Kong galleries represent local artists and the city seriously lacks in fine art colleges. Knowledgeable natives often tell visitors in search of local culture that it's best to skip the government-run Hong Kong Museum of Art and hit the sidewalk instead. On a recent trip to Hong Kong I took that advice, and below are a few works that caught my eye along the way.![]()
Hong Kong has a long history of street art and graffiti. Tags, throw-ups, stencils and stickers are legion throughout the area, but they appear most prominently in the Lin Hok Lane garden in Sheung Wan and down the side streets of Causeway Bay.![]()
One of the most famous Hong Kong street artists was Tsang Tsou Choi. The self-titled "King of Kowloon" Tsang painted calligraphy all over the peninsula, claiming royal lineage that entitled him to ownership of the area. When he died in 2007 at the age of 85, many tried to photograph or preserve his rants. But to date there are only four remaining, including a concrete pillar at Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier, which was given a protective sheath. The rest have been sold off at high auctions in institutions that likely would have barred Tsang while he was alive.![]()
Another controversial and prevalent graffito that has dotted Victoria Harbor since 2011 is the stencil "Who's Afraid of Ai Weiwei?" by 23-year-old artist Tang Chin, AKA Tangerine. Chin's stencils pose a reaction to the detention of Chinese contemporary artist and political activist Ai Weiwei on 3 April 2011 at Beijing Airport.
While many of her original messages have been painted over by Hong Kong authorities, we did come across a "Death Ai Weiwei" stencil on a ladder street in Sheung Wan, revealing that there is still hostility toward the Chinese government's treatment of the activist—and an underlying fear that the city's freedoms are increasingly at risk.![]()

Lamborghini Aventador JSource: NerdwithSwag™Author: NerdwithSwag
Introducing the The J Roadster, a roofless, V12-powered supercar with a 6.5-liter 700 HP engine under the hood. Top acceleration is up to 186 mph, but the J acknowledges it's lack of roof so the speed is throttled. The Aventador J utilizes plenty of carbon fiber, including a patented material called "carbon skin" in the interior. Catch the full gallery below, and you can find the Aventador J in your local Lamborghini dealership for $2.8 million.

Private White V.C.Source: Cool HuntingAuthor: Leonora Oppenheim
Menswear inspired by WWI military garb, made in the UK
Trading on the heritage and skill of several generations of local manufacturing in the UK, Private White V.C. is a menswear label named after founder James Eden's great grandfather. Jack White was a decorated hero of World War I, awarded the Victoria Cross—Britain's highest military honor—for a daring rescue he executed under fire to save his fellow countrymen during a dramatic river battle in Mesopotamia.
After the war White returned to Manchester to train as a pattern cutter, going on to become the owner of the factory where he completed his apprenticeship. Two generations later, the factory, now called Cooper & Stollbrand, is producing the Private White V.C. collection, sewing the tagline "Made in Manchester, worn around the world" into each piece.![]()
Inspired by White's WWI military garb, the Private White V.C. collection comprises minimal, workwear silhouettes with the occasional splash of color. Apparent throughout the line is the brand's philosophy of durable, quality garments cut from locally sourced fabrics and made to last.![]()
The label's designer boasts a notable heritage in his own right—Nick Ashley, son of Laura, made his name designing for high end labels such as Kenzo, Tod's and Dunhill. Cooper & Stollbrand produced his own label, so his connection to the factory goes way back. "I had been involved with the factory for over 20 years, so when James asked me to help get his own brand together, I jumped on the next train," he says. "These clothes are for people who have an emotional attachment to the clothes that accompany them through life."![]()
The Private White V.C. collection can be found in their two eponymous London boutiques as well as online through their webstore.
